I
see the process as a sharing of one desires and at the same time a bid
for leaving behind traces of oneself in the public eye.
The work was conceived as a public one and therefore it assumes more significance if the public itself participate in its final decoration. The violence of graffiti is sublimed by the invitation. The irony of “GURU” and “DAS” is complete by the passivity of the sculpture, towering and yet vulnerable. Jehangir Jani |
