The International residency programme was sponsored by the Jindal Art Foundation. It was held at the Jindal Iron and Steel Company's plant located at Vasind, near to the city of Mumbai.

Four Artisits patcipated In this programme: John Gibbons, British sculptor and academic, who is based in London; Vicent Barre, French sculptor, who was trained as on architect, who lives in Paris; Subodh Gupta, painter and insulator, based in New Delhi; and Jehangir Jani, painter and sculptor, who lives in Bombay.
